THE SHAK – How it Works

The PRAWN SHAK – where an afternoon feels like a weekend, or,
check into our larney tented camp or the guesthouse and make a full weekend of it.

It’s a rustic Shak set in the magnificent grounds of Sugarhill Manor Guesthouse in Eshowe, with stunning views  and enjoy a 5 Course LONG LAZY LUNCH 
It’s BYO. Limited emergency supplies available
Each course is cooked fresh and served on the buffet as you snack your way through the PM
We start at 12 & finish at 5pm, although the party may continue for a while!!

Directions : We have moved!!

SUGARHILL MANOR, 36 PEARSON AVE, ESHOWE
110 km from Durban of the N2 north.
Left at the Dokodweni toll plaza and its 30 km on the R66 to Eshowe.
Left at the stoplights into Eshowe on Kangella st and keep straight for 2km.
Just after the hospital and then school playing grounds, its right into Pearson Ave ( Aerodrome rd )
and 300m to No: 36 on the right

Shak: Definition: Very Rustic
Warning! You will be leaving your comfort zone.
We do serve a bunch of prawns but it’s not ‘eat as much as you can’
It’s not just a meal – it’s an ‘experience’ – relax, snack and socialize or,
wander the meandering paths to explore the gardens and forest, or,
Flop into a hammock, grab a swing or just chill in one of the many chill spot

PRAWN BISQUE
Our Legendary prawn soup recipe
GRILLED PRAWNS
12 tails each, served with dipping sauces
MEXICAN ENCHILADAS
With homemade tortillas and all the trimmings
ZULU SUSHI
Rare Fillet of beef, served sushi style
BAKED CAMEMBERT
Topped with a caramelized Port and sugar sauce
and served with fruit and biscuits

And possibly, marshmallows roasted on the last of the coals and dipped in Tequila!
